What started out as a coffee and pastry shop quickly morphed into a Bourbon & Wine Bar after the couple obtained a liquor license in November 2013. During 2014, the Newberrys focused a great deal on expanding their wine and bourbon offerings, amassing such a large selection of bourbon that they outgrew their space. In early 2015, the couple remodeled the attached garage space (with an adjoining outdoor patio), and in April opened The Prohibition Bourbon Bar - which features the largest selection of bourbon & rye whiskeys you'll find anywhere. Bar none. Over 1000 and counting. The bar also has a great selection of Scotch, Irish, Tennessee and Japanese whiskeys, along with over 50 wines and more than 50 craft beers. The Prohibition Bourbon Bar at Newberry Bros. is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings until 1:00AM.
The evening Bistro Menu features a nice selection of savory small plates and decadent desserts. In June 2015, The Prohibition Bourbon Bar was named one of the “Best Bourbon Bars in American” by The Bourbon Review and featured in its Summer 2015 Magazine.
